* 1952-1967 Early type: Hanging system with long rods, no spacer required. * Because the rod length is insufficient due to the extension, a rod extension must be fabricated. Please consult a professional workshop for custom lathe work.
* 1968-1970 Mid type: Spacer required.
* 1971-1972 Late type: Spacer required.
* Installation must be performed by a professional motorcycle mechanic. Stock springs will be 4 inches short; you must fabricate/use a spacer (e.g., PVC pipe) for assembly.
* When installing on stock triple trees, the inner diameter of the clamping area on the triple tree may require honing, as original inner tubes were not plated.
